For everyone visiting here for information on the World War II pictures: a warm welcome. The site of the Aerial Reconnaissance Archives itself is almost unreachable, so I can understand you came over to visit the Netherlands.

I have been sitting pretty with 30 visitors every day, mostly Dutch, and was amazed to see that, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, I already passed 120.

“Het hondje van Dirkie” is the name of a Dutch song, and translates into Dog Of Dirk, Dirk being a boy’s name. This weblog is built around myself, my Marie and our daughters Madelief and Maud.
